Collections. is a private catalogue for the things you own that are worth keeping track of. It runs on Mac, iPhone and iPad, keeps every device in step through your own iCloud account, works without a connection, and never sends your catalogue to anyone else's server.

Each collection has a type, and the type reshapes the app around it. An art collection talks about artists, mediums and artworks. A cellar talks about vintners and vintages. A garage talks about makes, models and odometers. There are 27 built-in types and you can make your own.

A few words the guide uses

Word	Meaning
Collection	A named group of items of one type. An item can belong to more than one collection.
Item	One thing in your catalogue. The app calls it an artwork, a vintage, a volume, a set and so on, depending on the collection type.
Maker	The generic word for whoever made the item: artist, author, brand, vintner, mint, designer. The app uses the specific word for the collection you are in.
Home hub	The first screen after launch, with your collections as cards and the headline numbers.
Library	The main catalogue view for the active collection. Called "Collection" in the sidebar and tab bar.
Draft	A photo captured before its details are filled in. Drafts wait in the New Item form until you finish them.
Curator	The built-in assistant that reads your catalogue and proposes changes for you to approve.
