Insights

Insights shows the shape of your collection. It respects the collection scope: the active collection, or everything.

Overview

The Collection Statistics card at the top shows the headline total, with a switch between Insurance Value and Acquisition Price and a currency picker. Beside it: the item count, the maker count, Insured with a percentage, For Sale and Sold. Settings ▸ Appearance ▸ Show value toggles in the toolbar moves the switches into the toolbar.

Beneath it is a grid of cards you can reorder and hide:

Card	Shows
Acquisitions Over Time	Items bought per year, by count or value. Tap a bar to list that year's acquisitions. Use the arrows to move the year window.
Makers by Value	Your most valuable makers. The label follows the type: Artists by Value, Vintners by Value.
Value by Collection	Where the value sits. Hidden when one collection is scoped.
Mediums	Item counts by medium.
Locations	Item counts by storage location. Tap a bar, or Unassigned, to see the items and move them from the list.
Nationality	Item counts by maker nationality. Tap to see the items.
Insured Status	Insured against uninsured.
Price Ranges	How many items fall in each value band.
Tags	Every tag with its count.

Customise opens the layout sheet: switch cards on and off, drag them into order, pick a Chart Bar Colour that follows the theme or one of the accent colours, and Reset to Default Layout. On iPhone, tap Edit in the sheet to drag.

Print renders the dashboard's scope as a PDF grid.

Activity

The Activity tab is a timeline of acquisitions and sales, one row per year, with each year's items in a scrolling strip. Tap a card to open the item. Filter includes or excludes collections. Print produces a PDF of the timeline as shown.

Domicile

Domicile is a globe showing where your makers are based. Each pin is a place, sized by how many makers are there, with the count inside. The globe turns slowly until you touch it.

• A maker's place comes from the Based in field on their record. If that is empty, the nationality is used. See Makers.
• Places are located once and remembered, so the map does not look them up again.
• Tap a pin for the list of makers there; tap a maker to open them.
• Print produces a PDF of the places with their makers and counts.

While places are still being located, a Locating artists… pill shows.
